Decorating for Christmas

Attention men and women who would like to help decorate the church for Christmas: Following the 10:30 AM Mass on Sunday, December 22nd, we will begin decorating the church for Christmas. On Monday, December 23rd, the poinsettias will be delivered in the morning and we will continue decorating (time to be determined). Thank you all for your generosity in helping to make Christmas a little brighter for our local families who are struggling. Penny Sale Success!

The annual Penny Sale was a success once again! The grand prize winner was a lucky lady from Springfield VT and she was present to win the full $1500.00. I would like to express my gratitude to all who helped with the big endeavor, most especially everyone who donated over 300 gifts for the sale and the many people who donated their time and talent. On Sunday, August 25th, from 3:00-6:00 PM, we will have a Parish picnic on John Paul II Academy grounds. Parishioners are asked to please sign up at one of the tables at each entrance of the church after each weekend Mass so we may have a head count to ensure enough food for all. Advent Tree Project

As usual, St, Mary's parishioners were very generous in purchasing gifts for the Advent Tree project. About 350 clothing gifts were provided to the Kiwanis Club for distribution to needy children and adults in our area. Over $2200 was also donated and used to purchase the boots, snowpants and jackets that children needed. We are sure that Christmas was brighter for many families because of your generosity!
